A group of year 9 and 10 students from the Samworth Church Academy have earned their Skills Foundation - Young Leaders Award. Each student committed to leadership training across several weeks in preparation for hosting a events for some of our feeder primary schools. Students gained confidence, teambuilding and organisational skills.

As part of the Young Leaders Award, students hosted a netball event for 4 different schools and alongside a multi-skills event for Abbey Primary school. They have all been really committed and put in a lot of effort for these events to go so smoothly.

We hope the efforts of our Young Leaders will help many year 6 students feel less nervous about coming up to the Samworth Church Academy school in September.
