Key Stage 3 includes years 7, 8 and 9.
The Key Stage 3 curriculum maximises the development of core skills for life, including literacy, communication, numeracy, ICT, personal and social development for safe, happy and healthy lives, economic awareness, teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking and leadership. The curriculum will be matched to each student’s needs, encouraging an individual sense of purpose and direction. It will ensure students gain the wisdom, knowledge and skills across a broad range of subjects before they specialise at GCSE and also which is required for 70 or more great years after they leave the Academy.
A personal, possibly unique route means curricula will be driven by what is right for the student rather than for the convenience of the Academy. Each individual pathway will include a curriculum that is challenging and enables pupils to maximise their potential.
