This afternoon we celebrated Red Nose Day, an event arranged in its entirety by the Sixth Form students here at The Samworth Church Academy, particularly our Guardian Team Leaders, Ellie and Dagmara.

Students have been donating to cast votes for which teachers they wanted to see take part in a Bushtucker style trial, with Mrs Gontarz, Miss Mattison and Mrs Macis Riley taking the majority of votes. Mrs Gontarz was tasked with eating a tablespoon full of crickets, Miss Mattison had to eat some ox tongue and pig heart, and Mrs Macis Riley had to eat two pigs eyes and a piece of heart. A good meal all around here, though we're not sure those taking part would agree!

The students raised over £900 for Comic Relief, an astounding accomplishment and something we are very proud of them for!
