Good afternoon everyone! If you are in the area you may be aware that we have The Tour of Britain coming to Mansfield on Thursday and it just happens to be coming down Sherwood Hall Road outside of The Samworth Church Academy! 

In the end of term letter to parents, we advised that Years 11, 12 and 13 would need to leave earlier than usual, however, based on the latest information and timings we no longer believe this is necessary. All students will start and finish at the usual times on this day but we will be rearranging any detentions set for students in Years 9 and 10 for that day. You will receive the usual notifications about any detentions through Satchel One, please contact us if you experience any difficulties logging into your account.

It is worth noting that there will be parking restrictions in place on the day and there will be a rolling road block as the cyclists proceed through the route, which may affect access to the academy but roads will reopen as soon as the race has passed. Please refer to the map and information on Mansfield District Council’s website for detailed information and we hope that you are able to get involved and observe this exciting event which we are lucky to have on our doorstep!
